Guitar Lessons

 
 

Sam has been teaching guitar from home for 8 years, and is a graduate of the Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM).


He teaches electric and acoustic guitar to a professional standard, as well as offering music theory and exam preparation lessons, useful for any instrument.


These lessons are available throughout the week, and are suitable for all ages.

Sam is fully CRB checked, and is a member of the Registry of Guitar Tutors, UK.


Sam teaches from his home in Frimley, Surrey.

 

Sam Whiting BA (Hons)

Sam graduated with honours from the degree course at the Academy of Contemporary Music in 2009, having also previously completed diploma and higher diploma courses there. While at ACM he was taught by such renowned musicians and industry professionals as Pete Roth, Nat martin, Pete Freisen, David Kilminster and Jamie Humphries.


Sam is actively engaged in the music industry, playing with various bands (Bring The Party, YM, The Brandywine Band), artists (Akala, Emma Stevens) and agencies such as 'Gigz management' and 'Fruit Pie Music'. Sam is also involved in recording and session work, having performed guitar at dozens of studios, including ‘Dean St. Studios’ and ‘Abbey Road’.


His guitar playing has appeared (most notably) on: BBC radio 2 (Via Emma Stevens’ singles ‘Once’ and ‘Riptide’), BBC introducing (Live), BBC Wales (Live) and BFBS Radio (Live), as well as numerous other radio stations around the world.


Sam’s guitar playing also features on Emma Stevens’ Album ‘Enchanted’; available on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, and in HMV stores.


Help and advice drawn from this experience is available to students who wish to explore music as a career, or just wish to learn how to play music for fun.


Several of Sam's previous students have gone on into music colleges and careers of their own, while many simply enjoy learning their favourite songs and playing at home.
